The Whiskey Blendery - Indiana Sugar Daddy

River of Oz is an 8.5 year Kentucky Bourbon that was finished in our 2025 Rustled Feather barrel for just under 2 months. The Finishing barrel imparted an age profile that balances out the sweetness perfectly.

Nose- Sweet oak and fruit candy kick things off. The candy notes are predominantly black cherry and grape, dusted with confectionery sugar. Vanilla, citrus, cocoa, and buttercream are present as well, complex yet balanced.

Palate- Exactly what you would expect from the aroma, sweet mature oak, and candy. The candy notes are mostly black cherry and grape; however, orange and lemon are present as well. There is a sweet tea late on the palate that brings the entire sip into balance.

Finish- The finish is medium long and complex.  It starts off slightly drying until the confectionery sugar induces salivation.  As the sweetness fades you are met with a medley of teas, oaks, black cherry, cocoa, honey, and vanilla bean.
