Crafted in partnership with the Purdue For Life Foundation and released in conjunction with National Bourbon Week, this second annual limited-edition bourbon celebrates the giant leaps that are shared by Purdue Alumni everywhere. This year’s release holds a special connection to Wally Dant, founder of Log Still Distillery and a proud graduate of Purdue University. Inspired by the melding of his distillery’s legacy and the research, innovation, and entrepreneurship instilled through Purdue, this bourbon reflects both Kentucky distilling heritage and the spirit of the Boilermaker community.
Built around the character of Monk’s Road Bourbon, the 2026 release showcases a carefully matured five-year high-rye Kentucky bourbon. The higher rye content brings layered spice and structure to notes of toasted caramel, cocoa, honeyed oak, and warm baking spice, creating a rich yet approachable pour. It is a spirit truly worthy of celebrating the connections, involvement, and giving that Purdue for Life Foundation fosters.
Cheers to raising a glass to the next Giant Leap with Purdue Alumni everywhere.
TASTING NOTES: Warm aromas of toasted caramel, cocoa, vanilla, and honeyed oak lead into notes of dark toffee, roasted nuts, and gentle baking spice. The finish is smooth and layered, with lingering hints of charred oak, soft pepper, and rich cocoa sweetness.
