Layered with honey over cornbread, it takes me to my grandma’s kitchen, where jiffy cornbread was almost always in a cast iron skillet. Then, spice. Black pepper, followed by raspberry jam, figs and brown sugar. It finishes long and strong with a hint of blueberry jelly.
