Faithfully Crafted - Bishop's Blend

In a continued spirit of faith and fellowship, the Archdiocese of Louisville and Log Still Distillery once again unite to present Bishop’s Blend, a bourbon rooted in tradition and united in purpose. As the second annual release in the Faithfully Crafted series, this expression continues a growing tradition that honors the enduring bond between church and community across Kentucky and Tennessee. This edition brings together Tennessee whiskey and wheated bourbons, layering rich oak depth with mellow grain sweetness. After resting in our Blessed Rickhouse, each barrel was thoughtfully selected and blended into a balanced, expressive bourbon. Crafted with intention and refined through patience, Bishop’s Blend reflects the artistry of careful blending and the strength of shared heritage. Balanced, composed, and deeply expressive, it is a bourbon meant to be savored. A pour to be enjoyed in quiet reflection or shared among friends.

NOSE: Warm caramel and toasted oak rise first, followed by vanilla bean and honeyed grain. A gentle layer of baking spice and faint roasted nuttiness adds depth, complementing the soft sweetness of the wheated bourbon.

PALATE: Silken and layered, coating the palate with warmth and depth. Notes of butterscotch and toasted marshmallow unfold into baked Dutch apple and soft wheat sweetness. A subtle oak backbone and light spice provide structure, keeping the profile balanced and composed.

FINISH: Lingering and smoothly with charred oak, light cinnamon warmth, and a touch of sweet tea. The wheated component softens the close, leaving a rounded, refined finish that fades slowly and cleanly.
