New Riff BIB Rye

New Riff BIB Rye

$49.99

New Riff Distilling’s core Rye whiskey is full-bodied, offering hugely spicy character. Building upon America’s 1897 Bottled-in-Bond Act—already the highest quality standard for aged spirits in the world—New Riff Rye is Bottled In Bond Without Chill Filtration. Featuring a unique mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted rye, it represents a new riff on our hallowed local Rye whiskey traditions. Aged four years in full-size 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels, there are no shortcuts taken in its traditional production. All New Riff whiskeys are made with the full sour mash Kentucky Regimen; all carry an age statement and are always bottled without chill filtration. Our distillers learned the black arts of the hardest whiskey in the world to make—the famed 95% Rye—under the direct tutelage of the distiller who mastered it in Indiana, Larry Ebersold of Seagram’s. Taking Master Larry’s instruction in hand, we put a riff on it to the tune of adding 5% malted rye, a unique twist that aids in pulling additional flavors out of the rye and adds a touch of the elegance of malted rye. New Riff Rye is splendid with a splash of water, and of course folds magnificently into classic Rye Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktails.

Town Branch Bourbon

Town Branch Bourbon

$27.00

One of bourbon's most distinctive qualities comes from the limestone water that brought bourbon to popularity in the 1800s. The name, Town Branch, commemorates the body of water that currently runs under Lexington, on which Lexington was founded. The bourbon is aged in new, charred white oak barrels. The nose is sweet with fruit and butterscotch followed by mild oak and sawdust. The sweetness stays throughout, with caramel, bananas, bread, and a mild burn.

Three Chord Blended Bourbon

Three Chord Blended Bourbon

$49.99

We use the best aged White American Oak staves from the Ozarks in Missouri at the Independent Stave Company. We selected a cooperage to assemble our barrels in Louisville, Kentucky that has 55 years of time-tested coopering techniques. All Three Chord Bourbons are aged in Number 4 Char (Alligator) barrels. We filter our water through reverse osmosis, one-micron filter that creates the cleanest, purest water possible. The longer whiskey ages, the more the wood takes over the flavor profile. Our 12-year-old whiskey in the blend helps create that smooth, refined finish. Our secondary, controlled, wood-charring process reintroduces compounds that create the maple syrup, caramel and vanilla character that consumers love. This secondary char is light, called a “toast”. We bottle our 100% blended bourbon 300 gallons at a time, for a consistent flavor profile and quality taste.
